FREELANCE BOOK PUBLICIST, WRITER & PODCAST HOST

Kailey Tse-Harlow is a Chinese-Irish writer and publicist born and raised in Boston’s Chinatown. She earned her BA in Film and Television Production from Emerson College, where she also hosted a weekly radio show on 88.9 WERS, and later received her MFA in Creative Writing from Lesley University. Her nonfiction writing has appeared in MIT News, and she is currently writing her first novel.

Over the past seven years, Kailey has built a career in publicity and book publishing, working with a wide range of authors and thought leaders. She’s worked with authors including Paul Rice (Founder of Fair Trade USA), renowned AI and cybersecurity expert Bruce Schneier, CNN’s Bill Weir, literary agent and Nobel Prize winner David Obst, climate activist Dana Fisher, economist Alex Edmans, Anita Say Chan, philosopher Serene Khader, and many others. I’ve had the pleasure of working with some of the most influential publicists in the industry, including Jessica Pellien and Mark Fortier of Fortier Public Relations.

Kailey lives with her partner, Kyle, and two cats, Sasha and Leo, in Cambridge, MA. When she’s not writing or working in publicity, she loves to travel, listen to film scores and house music, color in her Bobbie Goods books, and watch trashy reality TV. As of October 2025, Kailey is a new host for New Books Network. Check out her profile here. And as of January 2026, Kailey is open to independent book PR consulting. Come work with me!
